Make sure you take the bag off when opening the tour pack. The extra weight can cause hairline cracks by the hinges. Don’t ask me how I know.

its a real quick release when traveling. really wish they had come out with this many years ago...

Yeah, saw that at Rapid HD during Sturgis this year. Interesting, but I didn't want to have a large metal bracket permanently attached to the bottom of my bag.

So how much does that rack weigh?
I use a t-bag Dekker that works good.

I see waht you as far as the bad then sitting around on the rack the rest of the time, but I could see how it could work just using it on a cheap, carry on/throw away aircraft type bag (with garbage bag liner!). So many folks have one of them sitting doing nothing in the garage. Easier as they stand up to store after.

Would be useful for "guest" passengers.

I could imagine a "home fab" project coming up, modding one to work. Must have a look at what clips and clamps are available.
