Been going back and forth like an old porch swing. Is the grand it costs plus labor to do a Stage 1,slip ons, tuner and breather kit really worth it?
Thanks for your input.
All are easy to do DIY, save the labor money and buy a J&S Jack? Closer to the holidays so some sales are going to come up soon, can save a bit of money if you look around. I can say that I have had about 5 canned maps for my PowerVision from Fuelmoto during my Harley upgrade process, the support is an email away.
The way I did mine was. Slip-ons 287.00 V&H's double roll. FP-3 Fuel moto I think I got it for 369.00 at the time. Removed my stock header and removed cat. added a Arlen ness big sucker air cleaner. Again fuel moto I think it was 179.00 at the time? Did this last winter. Very happy with how it turned out. Performance, gas mileage heat, the whole shebang. I have noticed the biggest difference in gears. 3rd 4th 5th and 6th. First is not bad just don't detect a boost. I have to go by fell because I never had it dyno'ed. Did all the work myself. Got about 200 for my take off parts on Craigslist. Good luck
I just added V&H slip on's, FP3 tuner, and breather, and that's about what I spent. I've done it to every bike, and never regretted doing it.
I wouldn't do it if it took food off the table, and I always do the work myself.
Generally speaking it’ll be “yes” to those who have done it and “no” to those who have not. So either do it and make it worth it or just start a 3rd thread and hopefully get your answer....
I received a lot of great info but also got confused by a few people I ride with that were trying to help. Just trying to clear up as many questions as I can before I make a final decision.
Thanks though for your concern

Then, why not continue in your other thread? And, for the record, I'm not concerned; either do the Stage 1 or don't. I couldn't care less.
