I've gotta ask:
Other than having a touring frame with bags, what actually qualifies a motorcycle as a "Performance Bagger?"
I expect that a lot of people will have a lot of different thoughts...please share.
Does a stage 2 107 with upgraded suspension fall into your definition?
Sure, I'll bite. It starts with styling. You look at the bike and think "Performance Bagger," then you're basically there. Opposite the stretched, low and slow styling aesthetic. A big bore with massive numbers, but stretched bags would not, for me, fall into the category of performance. Most here I'm sure would tell you, they'd rather have a stock engine on good suspension than a huge engine on stock shocks.

This gets asked a lot. You can look around this thread for examples. Mostly things to increase performance....suspension, brakes, usually a 2-1 pipe and tbars or similar but not necessary. No big wheels, no lowering (unless a drag bike)
But I kind of hate putting a hard definition on it or anything.

I would say it could. For me, if the focus of the bike is function over form, being improved upon to smash miles and canyons - better suspension, brakes, motor work, etc - then it falls under "Performance Bagger". They generally tend to have a common appearance but with some exceptions...
Stock, lowered, and big wheel baggers need not apply...lol

Yours was one of the first touring bikes I actually liked the Leather Pros on, think it's in big part due to the chopped fender, seeing them with the full mullet just looked weird to me...

Thanks man. I wonder who has it now. It's hard for me to not chop the fender on my current road glide. Until funds get lined up for full build... it's not getting built... until then, it's staying in current form. 2 over legends front, remote res rear, thunder header, intake and tune. But when I squint real hard.... I see the next version of my last build taking place....lol

Are those skateboard wheels on your crashbar?! Oh man, I have an old set of Powell Peralta Sex wheels that would look sick. Wonder if I can find them...
