How do you like the solid bushings? I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile but still not sure.
What brand solid bushing did you go with?
I went with speed merchant. No issues. I dont think brand really matters though.
I havent ridden it yet, finishing up paint this week....but it feels good sitting on it. I hate movement in the bars so I''ll take a little extra vibration if needed...though the M8 is so smooth I doubt itll be a problem.
On my 08 I did tbars and poly bushings, but since I was going with an "ape" mounting style I figured Id try the solids. Hopefully it all works as planned.

Slow and steady is how my build is going.

Did you have to do anything to the swingarm or pan to clear at that height ?

Right on. I've been looking around up here for a set of black ones and can't seem to find any. When I change out my cartridges, I may send the lowers off to be PC.

OK GUYS! Your opinions please.
Since we're all here for performance, I'm in the market for fork cartridges. Was looking at one set, they are in production, but they're not going to be completed any time soon. So I'm looking at others. I have a budget of about around 1k(ish). I know @SoCalDyna2015 runs the Axxion AK20, which is right in my price range. I just haven't heard much about them. I was also looking at the GP Suspension, but they're a little more than I'd like to spend. I know of all the common companies, Ohlin, Axeo and Progressive, but I was kinda thinking about going with something a little less common, but still a great suspension. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I actually went with Racing Bros 25mm front cartridges and it was a night and day difference. All options listed are great. Ideally, I would be running Big Bear Performance inverted 30mm cartridges but they aren't in my budget as Id have to swap the trees for the newer larger forks seeing as mine is a 2011.

Whatever you get, will be a remarkable improvement over stock. I also felt more of a difference swapping the front out vs when I upgraded the rear.

Havent done the front of my 2018 yet. But for my 08 I used racetech springs for my weight, and ricor intiminator valves. On my FXR I did the same but racetech gold valves.
They're both so much better than stock and only a couple hundred dollars I didn't wish for more, so thats something to think about.... but I'm sure a legit cartridge set up is even nicer.
If I was gonna spend more money I'd use ohlins, racing bros, RWD, or legends IMO. Just dont waste your time with Progressive and I think youll be happy with any choice.

My plan was to get the RWD cartridges, but I talked to them the other day and they're currently making more, but don't have a date when they'll be done so I'm looking at other options. I have RWD on the rear and was wanting to do the same up front but........
After doing some reading and talking with other forum members, I'm leaning toward the Traxxion AK-20. I'm torn. Do I wait for RWD to finish production, or but something else. I know that anything is better than stock and I know Ohlins and Legends are both good companies with good products. So...Idk.
