There are also complete kits from HD, Performance Machine, Roland Sands Designs, and more. Comes with everything needed. Here's my HD Billet Chisel A/C.

The biggest difference came when removing the football covers on my 96" TC and installing the Arlen Ness Big Sucker and 103 TC and installing the HD Heavy Breather. The football cover was so restrictive it was like someone had deliberately shoved a sock in the intake. That is with everything stock initially and no tune either. HUGE difference.

On my '18 FatBoy, I have the stock ventilator which flows a lot of air. I ordered a K&N for it and will leave it otherwise stock since it wasn't engineered to restrict air flow like the football cover!

Do you have something to put over that open air cleaner if you have to park in the rain? Or is there no need?

Yessir it comes with a rain sock. I've been in some pretty bad rain storms and never needed it but if I had to leave it parked out in the rain I'd definitely use it.

Yes you need to change more than just the cover. If you buy the whole Arlen Ness package, or the HD one, make sure you are getting the backing plate as well. This should be included the full package. This is what mounts to your intake, the filter mounts to that and then the cover mounts to the filter.

Ok, so true idiot status clicked it....I ASSumed that because my 04 Road King had the oblong shaped air cleaner behind the cover that this Street Glide I bought used did too......Soooooooo I just pulled the cover off and, of course, it already has a round filter under it. So that opens up another couple of questions:

1) Would this round air cleaner be an indication that someone put a stage 1 kit on it already or is this round filter a stock item on this 07 street glide (side note, for ***** and giggles I pulled the cover off of the 06 Softail Deluxe we just picked up and it has a round air cleaner too)

2) when pulling the cover off I saw this plug behind it that I don't recognize. Does anyone know what this might be?

3) Will a big sucker cover fit these round air filters or is a big sucker literally "bigger" than these?

Big sucker by Arlen Ness with stock cover - I've had it on multiple bikes. Well priced, well made and you can use the original cover...

The bikes have the stage 1 filters. Just about any stage 1 center bolt cover will work. Contact A Ness to make sure their stage 1 cover will fit other filters for sure. That plug I think is for the International models, exhaust actuator.
