I vent mine under the bike and have only had a bit of condensation at the tip of the hose. I haven't noticed any oil blow by since I've done it. I use to get so much oil in my air cleaner that it would run all over the cam cover and over my rear exhaust pipe. Not exactly sure why it no longer blows out but I'm damn glad I did it.
Only thing I can think is that now you are just venting, before the intake was actually sucking gunk out of your engine.
Never liked the idea of blowing muck into my intake.
