Default Street Glide Fairing Speakers

Would Hertz MPX 165.3 Pro 6-A1/2" speakers fit in a 2012 Street Glide Fairing?

Welcome to the forum on your very first post.

You'd probably have to get some speaker adapter rings though to hold them in though.

6 1/2" speaker is oversized for an SG. Check with the manufacturer to see if it is compatible with your bike. If it is, it has an adapter mount for the speaker to fit.

Default Yes-they will fit

I should say, they “should “ fit. They fit in my 04 no problem. You will need adapter rings. The stock size speaker is 5 1/4. Adapter rings can be had very cheap on eBay. Merry Christmas.

Go to the audio section and post your question. Lots of extremely knowledgeable and helpful guys over there. They will fit with adapters. They can also answer any other question you might have on your project.

Last years Midwest meet n greet was in Milwaukee. Great group of guys in the Audio section for sure. We try to make sure people get the best bang for their buck and avoid making the same mistakes many of us have already made. Might be another get together earlier in the year, but there is one scheduled for June 8, 9, 10 near Black River Falls WI.
No clue what else you are running now for audio stuff, but those speakers without an amp would truly not be worth spending the money. Those are a pretty high dollar speaker, and they wont even wake up without some power to them. Just my 2 cents, but trust me, many have tried it with almost no noticeable difference. Again, mistakes we have already made. Start a new thread in the Audio section and specify your end game plan, what you want out of your system, if you have any current audio upgrades, budget, what speaker locations you plan on using (just fairing, lowers, bags or lids) and anything else you can come up with that has to do with what you are trying to achieve. Wrong time of year, but you are surrounded by some helpful guys with some pretty good set ups. Hope this helps
Kris

Are you using stock head unit or aftermarket? Amp or no amp? I think those speakers are 4ohm which would make for a lower volume if you're using stock radio and no amp.

I just finished installing them on my 18 SG. Perfect fit once you get the pods out. MPX 690.3 fit well in the rear too. I will agree with black pearl that without an amp, you will only hear a minimal difference from stock. Now with an amp, they rock the house.
