Why would the '07 "be a bitch to get parts for"?

Congrats on the new scooter. As always, it’s a personal choice based on your own expectations and budget.

Good luck and keep the rubber-side down.

Congrats on your new to you bike. I have an 07. Owned since new. Only parts that I've found that are obsolete are for the crusie control. Best bike I've owned but a lot of people hate on them because they are kind of a bastard year. Old frame with new motor and Trans They run warm but it's easily fixed with a tuner. They and 08's are geared higher. Swap your rear pulley for a same year sportster. Gearing will then be same as an 09 up. I like the looks of the 5 gallon tank and throttle cables. Not of fan of TBW. 07's are a lot lighter than 09's. To each their own.
