Default Road King seat swap?

I've got a 2016 Road King Std that I'm getting ready to pull the seat and send it to Mean City Cycles for some customization. A friend of mine has a 2002 Road King Std that has a Corbin seat on It. He also has his original OEM seat too and has offered it to me as a loaner.

My question is... Will his stock 02 seat fit on mine long enough to get mine redone? I don't care if it's a 100% fit, just as long as it will bolt on.

If it won't fit what year/model seats would fit?

This is the optimal time of the year to ride in SW Florida and I really don't want to miss a day of riding with the guys.

no, it will not fit. the mounting has changed between the years. your seat has a slot in the front of the seat for a tab on the frame. his seat has a slot on the frame for a tab on the seat.

Do you know what years/models are compatible?

Will other model touring seats fit as well? I know their passenger portion is different but nobody will be riding there. As long as it bolts up I'm good. It just has to be on there 2 to 3 weeks.

I'll check Corbin's website.

*Edit* Yep, you're right... 2009 and up.

That seat definitely will NOT fit. However......a 2008 seat WILL fit a 2016 contrary to what has been said. The frame change happened in 2009 but 2008 seats fit. Check out Harley's website, enter in your years bike and look up whatever part you want. Click on 'Fitment' and it will list every bike it will fit. You will notice that if you enter in your years bike and look up a seat....that same seat will fit on 2008's.
