I just swapped out my Andrews 37 cam for an Andrews 31 cam, wow...what a difference. Bike pulls like a freight train from 2000 rpm all the way to 6000 rpm. My bike is 2005 FLHTI with S.E. heads, slip on exhaust, 95" kit, 24 tooth compensator gear,S.E. air cleaner,.030 Cometic head gaskets. Compression ratio of 10 1/4 to 1. Bike ran good before, but pinged between 2000 and 2500 rpm. I could of tuned out ping perhaps with S.E.Race Tuner, but that would of been at a cost of power. I also put in the Fueling oil pump and lifters now. Bike was making 93 h.p. and 103 torque with 37 cam. I have not dyno'd yet but my "seat of pants" dyno is happy. I also switched from chain drive cam to using a gear drive. It makes a some noise but now I don't have to worry about shoes failing[:'(]. I am going to have run on dyno next week. I hope the numbers work out. Even if power same??? I don't have to worry about detonation eating hole in piston!

Cam shoes showed some wear, minor grooves, bike has 4000 miles on it. I think the Andrews 37 cam is good choice if you have UNDER 10 to 1 compression. I used the 37 cam before going to big bore and it ran great with no pinging.
congrats on the tuning. how many miles are on the old cams? I'm about to embark on a 95 stage two for my 03 Road glide. I plan on keeping the comp ratio at 9.7 or so. I'll probably buy a new set of cams unless I can find a set in good shape.
Got bike dyno'd yesterday....Using the Andrews 31 cam I picked up 7 horses and lost 7 foot pounds of torque.
I am very happy with results: 100 h.p. and 97 torque. Dyno showed cam building horse power to rev limiter at 6200 and now there is no pinging at any rpm. Now if I go to 2 into 1 exhaust I will gain some more horses and bring back the lost torque. I do not feel the lost torque, I do feel the added 7 horses though.[sm=happy046.gif]
Heh, sorry for the stupid post above . Thats what happens when I stay up past my beddybye time. is the T31 a new grind? I dont remember seein it in one of my catalogs
