Yep, that. Didn't realize there was another connector under the seat. I thought it went straight to either computer or fuse block. Never touched that end of the wire. It was the great folks here that pointed it out. Apparently another wire loom was pressed against it just enough that it pressed the release on the connector and allowed it to wiggle loose when I removed the console.

I was really nervous that I was going to have to start replacing parts in the tank.

Just for future reference, the console does not have to be removed to pull the tank.

I didn't remove it. Just pulled up from tank and laid it on the rear fender still connected. I assume the movement of that wire loom wiggled the under seat connection loose.

Well done cprhed, pictures are great, you did a lot of work just to change Bars. Goes to
show you one thing leads to another, it was not just a simple swap out of the Bars.
