Default Choke ****...

...again, i'm new in the HD world...

the have a 2002 Electra Glide and the choke **** will not stay wide open, it retracts back to 1/2... i hold it while i'm enriching it. is there a way to tighten it?

please let me know.

If you can't tighten the knurled **** on the outside, loosen the jam nut on the backside, tighten the knurled **** and the thighten the jam nut.

tighten that back nut VERY easy. It will crack if you are not careful. And of course $100.00 to have HD replace and mount it for you.

[align=left]the tightening procedure described is quite correct, but don't be surprised if you need to replace the choke cable. Definitely you can do it yourself if you have to get to that point, it's not at all difficult, unfortunately the stupid friction parts that are involved here are nickel and dime plastic items!I have the same year bike, and am now going on my second cable. They're not all that expensive and you might want to have an extra in your toolbox if anything.
