My 07 RK Custom has been having problems after 4600 flawless miles on it. Sometimes I'll be riding and out of the blue it would just die. One time it died at an idle. Another while coasting in second gear. And a couple of times when I pull it out of the garge in the morning I would try to start it and it wouldn't start. When that happens, I would turn the ignition off and on and it would start. Mainly, I find when the bike shuts off while I'm on it, if I here the fuel pump make noise it would start. If the bike dies and I don't here the fuel pump make noise it wouldn't even turn over. I keep thinking it's electrical, but then again it makes me think it could be the PCIII. Not sure WTF, but the harely dealer has no idea. They are still trying to figure it out but have no clue and I was just wondering if any of you guy's have heard of a problem like this. I don't know if I should take the PIII off and let the dealer do there own mapping and dyno it or if I should keep the bike at the dealers and let mess with it to see it they find anything. The bad thing is, if they can't reproduce the problem I don't think there ever going to figure it out. This really sucks considering I've only had this bike for 3 months. Don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have a alarm system on the bike ?, I have heard of problems with the key fobs batteries. As for the Pc I would take it out and recheck the the connections and make sure its secure and does not vibrate , start with the obvious.

You couldhave a short somewhere. If I were you, I would take the right side switch housing (starter and run/kill)off and make sure you don't have a wire shorting out on the handle bars.
Had the same problem. My 07 Ultra ignition switch doesn't always make proper contact
when turned on. The detent seems to be right on the edge of making contact. Some times
it makes contact and other times it needs to be turned just a tad further. Always works if
I make sure to turn it fully. Sounds like you might have the same problem.
Well my HD dealer thinks they found the problem. They found water in the PIII or the connection in the PIII. They told me they took it apart and water came out. How it got in, I have no idea. All I can think is lately I have been taking the seat off to wash the bike and I use a power washer to wash my bike and I must have hit the PIII with a jet of water and that's what's been shutting off my bike. Of couse, I sure hope that is the problem because my dealer has had my bike for 4 days now and it's killer me. I want to ride my Harley. It's like my kid and I want my bike with me. Anyways maybe this will help someone else if they ever have this problem. I will keep you posted on how the bike is running and if it shuts off again
Thanks!

Where is your PCIII installed? I thought on FLH bikes it's fitted under the right side cover like on my bike (SG), not under the seat. The HD EFI connector is apparently not that waterproof, and DynoJet recommends using dielectric grease on it for some models, mostly Softails that have the PCIII installed under the rear-fender guard where water can intrude. I was told by a PCIII tech that there have been no problems with water contamination when the PCIII was installed under the right side cover on top the ECM, and didn't recommend using the grease in my case. There is no downside to using the grease that I know of, so it couldn't hurt in any case.
Rule number one....Never use a pressure washer to wash your bike. It forces water into places you don't want it to get.
Rule number two....Use the warranty until it runs out. If the dealer installed the PCIII then make them fix the bike until it's running the way it's supposed to. What mod's have you don't to the bike that led you to install the PCIII? If you can disconnect it and it run's fine for you then you might have some issues with it. The folks at DYNOJET are awesome and will work with you to make it right.
Rule number three...Never whine about not being able to ride in a public place. We all love to ride and it's just the love of the open road that keeps us riding.
