I cut it diagonally with a dremel tool......then split it with a chisel......came right off. But BE CAREFUL and don't go all the way through and hit the shaft!!!
Used auto type dental tools to remove the seal behind it and used a 1" piece
of PVC to install like said earlier.

Thanks. I think going the tool route is going to be best...I see potentially bad scenarios if I start trying to cut stuff. That being said, does anyone rent this type of tool that you’re aware of?
now, that baker product you linked is what replaces the bearing that is in the inner primary housing, correct? Getting the two bearings mixed up a little...

Just get the bearing and race from the dealer.
