Default 07 Ultra handlebar change

I am changing from 18 inch apes and cables to Klock werks ergo back bars, what cables should I purchase? Klock states that your stock cables will work with some rerouting, but I do not have the stock cables. Should I get 2" longer clutch, brake and throttle cables? If so, from whom (does harley davidson make stock cables with 2" longer length?)

Thanks, Bob

The wise move is to install your bars 'just so', then measure for wiring and cables. It may well be that stock length items will work, so why talk of buying 2" over?

like gr said and you may like the old longer cables after you hang all kinds of neat stuff off of them and make your ride one of a kind

Getting tired so maybe I am not grasping this. You already have 18" bars and are worried about cables being long enough?

Why is it first time posters always come up with such wacky threads???

Well... With the almost stock sized Klock Ergo back bars I can't use the 18" longer brake or clutch cables without risking serious injury to myself. I think I can make the stock length cables work, so I will purchase stock length cables (the length that come with stock handlebars).

Personally I'd go with the +2 just to be on the safe side.

I say mock up the new bars and see where you are at, if it's too long then you'll know what to do.
