I once bought a knock off luggage rack on Ebay for my old Heritage. When it came it looked just like the picture. Only problem was it about 1/3 smaller than the HD rack!
No specific one in mind. I just search for Burst and a whole bunch of knock offs came up. Thought maybe I should just buy the and put a good filter in it....
I just bought this one, only mocked it up. Fit is perfect on my '07 Ultra. I've actually bought lots of contrast cut stuff from ebay, kinda arlen ness look to it. Most is really nice for a 1/5 the price.
I work oilfield and literally have been home once in the last month for 24hrs. I pulled it out of box, bolted it up to check fitment, was great. Still need a couple o-rings that were missing but other then that the quality looked very good. Only time will tell if the anodizing job is any good. I doubt the filter is of any great quality, but I suspect you could find brand name in same size. I onky looked it over for 10-15min basically. Like a lot of the other knock off stuff I picked up, most looked very good. But have yet to mock up. A couple more weeks of work then I have 2 months off to get it all together.
I don't do business with Ebay any more, too much deception going on there!!
True,,,but some times the price is worth the roll of the dice. And depends what part it is, I certainly wouldn't go anything but brand name for mechanical parts or bars etc. I rolled the dice on some cosmetic stuff. Also bought knock off daymakers, will see if that gamble pays off or not.
I bought one of the gloss black spike knock off air cleaners off ebay. Some parts were not included, and there were no instructions. Until I put red Loctite on it, the thing would always vibrate loose. What really bothered me was the fact that the powder coat lasted about a month before it faded away to nothing.
That being said, it works as well as any other one. I'm on the fence about
buying something new or just having it repowdercoated or just painting it.
