I'd like to see how this comes out as well, though I'm not a good enough welder to pull it off myself. Friend of mine gutted cat and I've been wondering if that's the best approach...

From what I understand, a gutted cat will perform very well on a stock or mildly modified engine. A great option if your only changing cams, air cleaner and mufflers.

I just put Magna flow tru duals on mine with 4.5” Hitmans and can say it sounds Way better than gutted factory headpipes ever did. Not sure yet about performance end ,having it Dyno tuned next week so we’ll see.
