2010 Heritage Softail Classic. Won’t start. Not a sound. Lights flashing, red security key lit. Changed battery in fob. Still nothing. Trying to manually put in factory set code. Anyone know what it is? Also, manual says how to display code but I have tried and flashing lights do not stop. Can anyone help with procedure?
It is whatever you, the dealer, or previous owner set it to. My dealer sets all of them to the last 5 digits of the VIN when they do the pre delivery setup. I reset it to the code I wanted as soon as I got it home.
You can not display the code until the security system is shut off by the Fob.
Make sure the replacement Fob battery is good, and you didn’t put it in backwards.
There also may be radio interference from somewhere else.
Try moving other vehicles away, or rolling the bike 50 feet or so and trying again.
Also make sure the bike's battery is charged.
.
That seems to be the problem. Fob with new battery put in properly will not turn off alarm. I will try moving it
away from cars in case there is interference.
