Installed handle bars on my 2015 road glide today. Everything seemed to go smoothly. Much easier than when I had a friend help install on an 09 ultra classic. Got it all back together and have run into a little snafu of some sort. Well I guess it's a big snafu of some sort actually because it's now missing the most important function. It won't start!
Everything comes on as it should, all lights work, ignition sequence you hear when hitting the on button goes through and everything seems fine until you hit the start button and all it does is some clicking.
Can anyone point me to what may be the cause and possibly how I might be able to fix this other than calling the dealer to pick it up? I live 40 miles away unfortunately.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Lol That same thing happened to me on my 15 RG when I put bars on it For me I didn't get those little 3 black plugs underneath Speedometer plugged in completely
if you're trying to start it in gear you may not have the clutch switch engaged gotta move the housing to the left more.....I assume you've tried in neutral......
Do you hear the fuel pump prime?
Check the connections to make sure the pins didnt push back into the connections.
Did you put the spacer in the gap in the back of the levers? Could have broke the clutch and front brake safety switches.

^^ Seems to happen all the time, the pins get misaligned and do not make contact
Seems like I got lucky. Not sure why I didnt think to check the battery other than its been fine and I had fuse pulled while doing the work. I Had the radio running for a while the previous day getting xm radio set up on it but never started the bike so I guess I drained it down too far. Was able to jump it off this morning with my little anti gravity jump starter and all is good. Bike is 3 yrs old so guess its time for new battery. Had me scared tho. First time Ive attempted changing bars myself and was afraid Id screwed something up and would have to start all over again.
