The issue I see is that there is not a lot of material around the small primary hole. Enlarging it may cause a short edge distant condition. The minimum (at least when I was building aircraft) is hole diameter x 1.5 to the edge. Have to get more intell on the Time Sert to see just how big the hole size would be. Thank you for your input on the subject.
Good point, the guy I read said he used them in oil pans of cars.... certainly a lot more room/metal around the time sert.... Post up your results if you give it a try...
