Default Rushmore docking hardware on 2011

Hoping someone can answer a question for me really quickly.

I purchased an Advan Black tour pak for my 2011 FLHR, but the holes don't line up to the 2011 Harley mounting rack (they were designed to align to the 2014+ rack).

Can I use a 2014 rack with my bike? Ideally, I'll just go back to the dealer and ask them to swap the part of me. It seems like they should work since the aftermarket racks all state they're for 09-18 bikes, but I'm hoping someone on here can confirm that 2014+ hardware can dock with the 2011 bikes.

The rack works, the actual docking hardware attached to the bike does not. But as for the racks/sissy bar, they are interchangeable between the older docking hardware and the newer ones.

The racks will fit the docking points on your bike but I don't believe the mounting holes on the rack will align with the mounting holes on the 2014+ tourpack. I assume you got the new style (14+) tour pak? If so you will need the 14+ tour pak rack.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I've got the Advan Black aftermarket tour pak, which is apparently the same as the Rushmore size-wise. Advan Black said its based on the 14+ rack.

Since it sounds like the 14+ rack will fit my 2011, I'll head to the dealer and ask them to swap the parts. The alternative is to drill new holes, which I'd rather not do.

Yeah I would just get the newer style rack. As for things fitting all of my stuff from 2010 Road King (sissy bar and rear rack) fits my 2015 SG, the mounting points on the docking hardware are the same. I bought a 14+ tour pak from a swap meet last year and had to get the 14+ rack, the holes all lined right up.

As others have posted the hardware is interchagable from 09 to 18 as far as the backrest/tour pack mounting points.

Easier to do what I did, which was swap the part for the '14 rack, which also has the added bonus of allowing for a bit of adjustment.

Thanks to all that responded. Tour pak is on the bike and looks great.
