I have a 2016 Road King with a stage one upgrade, I have been thinking about a stage two, but I have a couple of questions. One is why should I get one? Two, is who should get one? Three is, does is shorten the life of the engine?
If you are happy don't. We are not driving your bike. Was really popular on smaller engines. Also as a way to richen it and cool it. Cams will cool the bike and more power. I can't remember if that is stage 2.
Cooling EPA hot engines will add life. You riding it hard, will shorten.
I got over 40k since bored, camed and ported heads. I don't think it will shorten life at all.
Stage I by many is considered part of buying a Harley. I got 55k on 07 with stage I. Eventually with do more to it. Cost money and takes time.

some are happy with a stock bike, some are happy when it’s pulling 3rd gear clutchless wheelies, some are happy when someone else tells them they should be happy.....
More power. But I only got 2 more HP & 7 more togue. My year came with some pretty good Cam's though and at 112,000 they needed replaced so I got small cam. Stage one tuned right is pretty good bang for the buck.
