Pick my ultra up yesterday at the dealership. Had Rinehart TD and SERT. I pick it up right at closing time. I have a lot of popping on deceleration. They told me to bring it back to put it on the Dyno after I rode it for a couple of hundred miles.
Most people can have popping due to some 'exhaust leak'. Header nuts not tightened down enough or leak by the mufflers.
Sometimes the popping can be because of too quick of a decel. I had this issue myself. Not running a SERT but a Fuel Pack. I ended up getting settings from V&H to change and that pretty much cured my DECEL-POPPING.
You could also check the spark plug agap and make sure it is .040 I have read few threads where people changed the gap and the popping went away. I have a pcIII and tuned out the vast majhority of popping with that.
Can someone post what to change First to help eliminate the popping, I have it with the canned map on my SERT. would like to dial it out. Or if someone has a Good map for 07 touring with SE AC and rush 2.0 slip on .
I had decel popping when I installed my powercommander I call dyno jet and they told me to change the range at zero throttle from 1000 rpm up. They said start at -10 and go up to -50 to see if it stops if that did not work they said to go from +10 up to as high as +50. Right now I am at +20 and it seems to have worked.
