I can go around 25 miles a few days back out in the middle of no where I put 4.8 gallons but one time I put 5.2 . I think the service stations gouge a bit around this part of the country.

I've only run it until the light comes on one time. It took 4.8 gallons to fill it up. The light is basically worthless. I figure I could go another 6-8 miles after the light comes on.

Funny you should ask, in my case, I could go "0" miles after the light came on. On my bike ,07 RKC, if you do not cycle the ign sw on and off when there is less than a gallon the light won't come on.So if you start your ride with a gallon and a half and you are going to go 75 miles , better get some gas. This is one of the items my dealer tried to fix during the 42 days they had my bike over the 4 months I owned it. They put a new tank sender and trouble shot the electrical with no success. They told me now they think it is like an oil light and just watch the fuel gauge. If the light does not come on that is a good thing it means nothing is wrong.The tech actually said I think the manual has a misprint and it really is not a low fuel warninglight, it is just a warning light that something is wrong with the system.So....that and numerous other issues is why I pick up my new bike at long last today. Well maybe, it was supposed to be ready yesterday. But trust me I will be running it down below the 1 gallon level to see if the light comes on...I will let you know

mine comes on at about 3.8 gallons used, about 150 or so miles riding two up and a mix of roads. Have gone 175 when just running the interstate. My azz is a 120 mileindicator that I need to get off, stretch and fuel .

When I first got the bike (05 Road King), the low fuel warning operated fine, letting me know with about 1 gallon left.Now my low fuel light comes on way too late. On 2 occasions (where I ended up pushing the heavy bitch to town), the light came on around 200-205 miles. Like most, I go by my trip odometer mileage. Both times, mileage was 219 and 218 when I ran out. Whatever that is worth...
