Before you replace it, it would be worth it to take Stormy Daniels for a ride and dig on a great shoulder and back massage, not to mention head and neck beating.
Just sayin'...
If you can't get or want a Harley tire, try some metric shops in your area. I sure wouldn't want to be stuck without a bike now. Good thing I keep a spare bike!!!
Finally some time off work and good weather to ride and I find this goiter on my 6k mile Metzeler 888. Ugh. Going Michelin Commander 2 this time.
Move the wheel weights opposite the bubbles and ride ON!
THAT ^ was a JOKE. Seriously, I've seen MC tires like that before; they were mounted in the wrong direction and braking pulled the tread splice apart. My guess is that's a made in Brazil Metzeler.

Calling shops tomorrow to find a tire or I'll just order one. Then I'm calling Metzeler to see if they'll do anything about it.
Best of luck with the call and let us know how it goes. Sucks as I have really liked the 888's. Also liked the E III so may try the E IV next time on tires.
I'm in need of new tires. I called my dealership and they are holding a set of Metzler 888 Ultras for me. I spoke with Metzler last week about their tires and they recommend psi for the front between 36-42 and the rear 44-50 psi. I was assuming that their tires are made in Germany . Brazil , really ? Please don't take this wrong, but what pressure where you running in this tire? Are they made in Germany ? After seeing your post I am thinking of cancelling these and going with Avon or Dunlop. Any additional information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
