Default Tacchometer backlight is out!

How would I get to the blown bulb on my tach? 2003 Anniversary FLTRI RG.

Hopefully it is serviceable...

Well, I'd think that they are LED like mine are on my 08...so not serviceable unless you're comfortable with electronics.

I'm surprised that they might be LED back then. But thanks for the link

Pull the tach and look at the back, check
for a bulb socket.

Does fairing have to come off to pull it?

No, its independent of the fairing.

Thought it was. Just thought the fairing might need to come off to allow access... Glad it don't!

The outer faring does come off, the inner does not. If there's no socket for the bulb that you can twist off from the back you'll have to pull the guage and disassemble it to gain access to the bulb which will most likely be soldered to the board. Not real difficult but time consuming small work with a soldering iron.

I believe he's on a Road Glide, so no fairing, inner or outer involvement necessary.

Re: Kiethhu, you are correct and it seems to be only the plastic bezel around the speedo and tach that need to be removed. I actually have the service manual that I COULD refer to

It's much more better (hehe!) to interact with y'all than sitting down with a bunch of pages to thumb thru
