i put in a 37g cam in my bagger...dyno results were good...90+hp&trq. but the cam comes on around 4000 rpm and off the line shes a little weak....i have v&h true dual headers and thunderheader slipons....i was thinking a 26g cam and a rb racing 2n1 pipe....any thoughts?...and is running my bike at 4000 rpms bad?
A lot of people do the bigger is better build but smaller duration cams that come on about 2000 and pull to redline and a 2 into 1 exhaust will smoke the other builds anyday. Your bike is set to run top end with the true duals and big cams, both items are for making power at the upper rpm range. Not what most want out of a big twin, It wont hurt the bike as long as its under redline but its not going to be a bull out of the gate till its in its power range.
it is a fast runnin bike i mean i spank my buddies stockers its just with me and my wife on and bags loaded it takes a while to get that sweet spot on the cam....will the 26g come on faster and still rev to 4000-5000 or will it fall flat on its butt?
