Default Installing headlight trim ring after bulb replacement

I just replaced the headlight bulb in my 2011 Harley Ultra Limited, as the low beam had gone out. Is there some trick to getting the chrome trim ring to fix back snuggly? There is some sort of wire gadget in the top of the trim ring, but I cant seem to see how it would help hold onto anything or clip onto anything. I just held it back up and put the screw in the bottom. Still seems like it could be snugger or held on tighter at the top.

On my 2018 Street Glide Special I have to turn the entire ring with has the metal wire portion which interlocks to something else. So I start with the ring at roughly 10 o clock position and it locks in around 12-1 o clock position.

Hope this helps.

That wire gadget fits on the clip on the headlight bucket, Its can be a bitch to put in but it must be done to complete the change.

Make sure the rubber seal is firmly in place all around the ring. There is a hook kind of thing thatbthe wire loop goes under. Put the loop behind the loop, the press it firmly in place. It+should be uniformly in place all around. I’ve done it several times, and yeah it’s. PITA. But, it should go firmly in place.
