I had my stock seat modified by Mean City Cycles, then went to a Mustang. This spring I did what I should have to start with, bought a Corbin. My wife and I both love it.
That is funny, same path I am on right now, except I had a hammock in between the MCC mod and the Mustang. Now I am looking at the Corbin's
I don't think it's to narrow at all. It does raise you up and the seat edges support your tailbone from getting to much pressure. I did order the back rest because I think that will make long trips
more relaxing. I was riding yesterday and thought I could almost fall asleep riding this thing ..lol
So a question for you corbin guys. Don't you find the 16.5" drivers bucket to be a bit on the narrow side?. I am not over weight I am just a bigger guy at 6-1 250#. I run mustangs currently but I need a new seat for one of them as the one drivers seat is only a 15" solo which I find too narrow.
Not in the slightest. I'm 5'9" and 230, so we're probably similar in seat size,

It's narrower than my Mustang Super Touring seat was but it supports me better and in the right places. So to answer your question, the Corbin true dual seat isn't too narrow for me and it looks good. Also for me a rider backrest is a must for lower back comfort.
another vote for the Corbin touring seat...i was like the OP three bikes ago..... until i took some advice on here and bought my first Corbin for my Fat Bob.....changed my life... went from riding 1 hour and wishing i was off.... to riding all day and never thinking about it again... I bought this seat for my Road King and then transferred it to my glide.....seat made riding pure pleader like its supposed to be. order it with a nose job....this thins out the front a bit so its easier to get your feet to the ground......
I just got back from an 1100 mile iron butt ride on the stock saddle. The saddle was perfectly comfortable. Disclaimer: my other hobby is endurance road cycling. I could probably sit on a bag of broken glass and be perfectly fine.
