Number 13 in this schematic is the seal you need. Oil can flow from the transmission into the primary if this seal leaks. Although it could also be a problem with the mainshaft. Since it appears H-D is having a number of these, it's a good bet either they had a problem with assembly at the factory screwing up the seal, or out of spec components.
13 will spill oil out between the trans case and the primary (where the front pulley is). The oil can only travel down the input shaft to get to the primary.

After staring at the schematic for several minutes, I see that you are correct. So is the transmission oil going through the clutch pushrod hole to get to the primary? How would it do that, the oil doesn't go that high in the transmission? Or is the slinger acting like a pump and feeding the oil right to the pushrod?
After the dealer initially found 14.5 extra ounces of trans fluid in the primary, HD mothership denies any further service. Still they're trying to sell me an e.s.p. SMH. After riding hd 25 years, I am looking elsewhere for my next ride.Yeah I can wrench it , but that is not the point here. adios.
Good luck with your claim.Mine was denied. After I did the 1,000 additional. I did 800 and asked for it to be fixed. HD says ride and monitor levels.Warranty is up in 1 1/2 months. Then what ? I have a big Northeast trip in Sept. 18.

Get in touch with Stonecold in the M8 section like Papashelby did and get his fix installed. HD can't repair your bike with a fix they don't have.
