I'm sure I could do a search and find a zillion answers, but some of those threads might be old with old tire suggestions.
I'm about to spin over 13k on the factory tires and think its time to get some new rubber. I know some guys push more miles than that, but I'm changing mine regardless.
We have great roads and a ton of curves, which I like the most. I do weekend getaway rides and probably push it in the corners more than I should, and going to chill out on doing that, but still get spirited thrills from time to time.
I could buy the factory replacements, but want to try something different. So what brand/series model tires are you rolling on with great results, or at least getting good press for potential buyers. Thanks in advance.
Ive never been happier with stock rubber than the Dunlop 407/408 combo but many say the American Elites are just as good or better at a lower cost. I haven’t tried them.
Every other day this question is asked. You can expect many answers. I am one of those who is quite happy with the OEM tire. I just changed mine out at 17k miles, and they still handle beautifully.
I too have had great experience with stock OEM Dunlop/HD tires getting better then average milage.
However, I do have a American Elite rear tire in my garage waiting for a tire change when I need to. Price for an AE tire is a lot less expensive then the factory OEM. At least for a 18" tire on the CVOs.
