Picked up a 2018 road glide ultra about 6 weeks ago and I’m now making it mine. Looking at windshield options and my question is, does anyone have a recommendation between Klock Werks or Memphis shades etc? I’m 6’2” and have ridden Ultra classics up to this point and swapped to the RG so opinions would be appreciated.
Congrats on the bike. I’ve got an 09 RoadGlide and I’m running a Madstadt shield. Might be worth checking out.
Do this only if you want your bike to look like a calamity.
3rd Road Glide here and been through a bunch of shields, mostly LRS. Had a KW but unless it was the height I had, really didn't like the wind management. After waiting for the dipsticks at LRS to pull their heads out of their asses and come out with a short shield I finally went with Memphis Shades. Great shield that seems to be very good quality. Ask yourself if you want to look over or through a shield. I hate looking through one and that has been my issue. Other choices out there for flips shields.
Loved my Freedom Sheild on my 2017 RGU before totaling it. Did not realize just how much of a difference until I have had to ride the stock on the 2018 RGU. I am 6' and run the 16" touring model. Look right over it and no buffering for me or passenger.
Appreciate the input. I’m about to think that the stock shield may stay. Was looking at the freedom shield and discovered that the fairing pouch won’t fit with their shield. May even take it off and see if a tint shop might be able to just tint it darker.
