I have a 05 Ultra....When I ever put bike o side stand it has a tendency to roll -- flat ground or slight incline -- uphill -- don't seem to matter.... my puckering I think has given me a hernia ... I had a 06 FLHXi and I don't recall this...my Springer stay put.... it does seem loose when I put the stand down....
Another member stated that once he got down next to the Jiffy stand and watched how it worked, he had more confidence in it. I did that and it does eliminate 90% of ones fear. Its good to keep the 10% fear factor. IMHO.

anyone have similar issues or am I just crazy?
hopefully the tab isn't installed incorrectly, its what keeps it from rolling and falling.
The Harley side stand is the best design out there. If you came from a generation that had to kick start motorcycles you would have no worry about them.
The pucker never really goes away, but you do get eventually get somewhat used to it. The stands are stable and the design is fantastic, but ya, every time it does that little forward movement my heart still skips a beat lol
When I bought my first Harley a party-piece of mine was to park it on either a steep up or down hill, when it would roll, dragging the jiffy with it. Put the fear of the unknown into innocent observers, but you know better. In those extremes put it in gear, or better still find somewhere level to park. The darned bike weighs a ton, so only ever park front wheel out, so you can power away, especially on a rearward downhill slope.
