I have the old-style oval H-D fogs, mounted on the front crashbar, which I use as additional daytime lights. Don't think they are still made, the later round ones are shown as mounted down low, which looks like a recipe to cause dazzle
I just put on the hd fog lights. they work great how ever the directions leave a lot to be desired. really hard to follow. that being said when you install then turn them out a little to shine the ditches better.
If you have a batwing fairing bike, the only passing lamps that look good are the OEM lamp package. All others look just like they are,a cheaper alternative. Added OEM package to my SGS. Bought LED bulbs off ebay.JMHO
I mounted Baja Designs Squadron Pros which are 4900 Lumen per Module, that puts out about 5 times the light of our daymaker Highbeams.
They are mounted to the crash bar, I also wired them through a Skene IQ-275-Alert module which allows me to have 2 light levels that are adjustable. I have them set for 20% for low beam and 100% for highbeam. This is like daylight when higbeams are on. I also get much better visibility to the sides. I also purchased the Amber Rock Guards which makes the lights good for Fog/Snow. The Skene also provides a really cool alert function causing the lights to flash an really bright patter to get peoples attention if you flash the highbeam twice.
Not the prettiest driving lights, but I prefer function over form if the choices are limited.
