"Speculation about what bikes Harley will introduce for 2008, or model makeovers, is already in full swing.
Some possibilities include a V-Rod touring bike, a chopper-style motorcycle, a sport bike or three-wheeler, according to the dealers in Kennison's survey.
Harley recently filed for a patent for a three-wheeled motorcycle similar to the Bombardier Spyder.
The Bombardier trike has two wheels in the front and one in the back.
Some industry watchers have speculated that Harley might be interested in acquiring Ducati, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer.
Twenty-nine percent of the dealers in Kennison's survey said they would support such a move.
The average age of a Ducati buyer is 35, which is slightly more than 10 years younger than the average Harley buyer."
You have an F-16??? And I thought I was cool with my HD and Ford pick up!!
ORIGINAL: petemac
What advatange does "throttle by wire" have over cable outside of a having no cable to adjust or break? Can't the "wire" break? My F-16 is "fly by wire", not "throttle by wire", so I'm confused.
The Cali emissions permits that are floating around online only listed ABS options for the V-Rod, Night Rod and Night Rod DX. It listed a VRSCAWA, VRSCDA and VRSCDXA. (seriously, these designators are getting out of hand) I think ABS will be brought into the lineup like EFI was - an option on a few bikes, then an option on all models, and eventually standard.
If I were buying a VRod in '08, I'd go for ABS. My '05 VR-B would fishtail at the least provocation, and I almost went over the handlebars more than once.
What about a chopper? I heard from a good friend that they were going to be an 08' bike. Anyone else hear this?
Harley already has a full on chopper line, sold in every major HD dealership the Thunder Mountain bikes, They are not made in the harley plant but are built with most all Harley parts.
Man, I sure do like the looks of he thunder mountain "bagger". It is set up on a softail frame, so the ride might not be up to par, but they look sweet, IMO.

My guess is YES !
Some type of one anyway EXPECIALLY since they DROPPED the Dyna Wide Glide.
And if ya notice there are TWO new Dyna's for 2008.
Probably on the same lines of the Retro looking Sporty they just released not
long ago that is selling like hot cakes.
Rob .....
I have a friend (well not really a friend more of an aquaintance) who's mothers uncles cousin said that her brothers butchers sister said that Harley will be selling Bikes again this year in 2008!
I heard that they're going to make a new anti-terrorism model. It will be a bagger with optional flame thrower, gatling gun, andlaser guided missles.LOL
Seriously why not wait and find out. It'll be like waiting to see what is under the christmas tree.
I hear there are problems with Thunder Mountain, my local dealer is going to Dig DOg. Hell I have heard complaints about them also. SO what do you do if you want a chopper? Who would you go with?
