HD fan oil cooler mod, will this work.
I just bought the fan assisted oil cooler for my 2018 SGS. Texas temps are smoking hot now, so I hope it helps, but have an idea. In order for the fan to kick on at the temp range where it needs it, I'll need to take it into the dealer to get the bike flashed enabling the fan to turn on and off on it's own. My idea is wiring it to one of those dummy flip switches up on the dash so I can have control over with the flip of a switch. I think it'll work well. I know I would need to manually turn it on and off, which isn't too big of a deal. I can have it on while in traffic, then turn it off while rolling at a decent speed?

Just pull some oil out of your Trans, take it in to a Dealership to complain about something you heard about oil transfer, and while they weave and bob and try to get out of any responsibility, politely ask them to turn on the fan in the ECM while they are looking at the trans...
Chances are they will do it for free or you'll pay a whopping 50 bucks or something.
