Ok.....I checked codes, and there were about 10.....all "P" codes....120, 123, 131, 132, 151, 152, 220.....the other few I lost when paper I was writing on fell in oil drain pan....lol....
instructions said to find out whether codes were old or current to clear codes, run bike and check again....current codes would come up again......no codes came up after short ride.....
I am leaning towards pushing bike into gully......again......lol.....
Cool check that induction module plug behind air air cleaner like mentioned.. It's pretty common issue.
Will check all tomorrow........thanks all, for taking the time to help.......I will postpone dumping bike into gully at least one more day......lol......
Ok.....as noted in my OP, the bike had the electrical problems, plus the loss of power and burnt oil smell......I cleaned the connectors as suggested above and opened the cam chest again to double check oil passages, shaft run out and cam plate.....Think I found the problem......lol.....The crank bearing has walked almost all the way out.....Its still in just enough to hold the shaft right on the edge of the rollers/race......
question is, what causes walkout, and can you just knock it back in (if the shaft runs true) or change it out......I noticed that the bronze bushing in the cam plate is looser than it was also......(I'm going to mic everything up Friday when I can work on it again) just curious about using the same crank bearing and what caused it to move.....
Anybody have a part number for the right side crank bearing......its not in any of my books.....I have a number I pulled off j&p.....HD-24605-07....is this correct?.....they say it fits my bike but the internet says it's for a sporty......thx.....

There are also other online sites provided by dealers like Ronnies Harley Davidson.
Although I use the the online sites for reference to other bikes, I prefer the hard copy when researching stuff for my bike.
Did you find out why it walked?
.
I have the general parts catalog and service manual.......I saw on here awhile back someone was referencing a timken replacement bearing instead of the Harley bearing......was trying to cross reference the numbers.......
