So I took on the project of doing some new handlebars on my 2010 Street Bob. I have got everything on and put together with the exception of the wire harness from the controls to the bike. I believe its called a Deutsche Connector. I cannot get the dang pins back into the connector.
Does anybody have any tips or tricks to it? Maybe a link or two?
Picture of the connector before I took the pins out of it
I had mine apart on 2012 FLHR when i did my bars , only thing i can think of is you have to line up the flat on the pin with the flat in the connector other than that they should snap right in. If you removed the pin from the wire you might not have it crimped right
+1 on crimping. There isn’t a lot of room to start with so if you destort them in anyway it makes it hard to impossible to get back in. That’s why they make tools for them and moles and all the others. Sometimes they get messed up taking them out as well and people do t realize they messed them up.
