I bought a RK Police 103 (2011) 3 years ago and am very happy with it (34K miles then, 45K miles now). Off duty bike owned by Fairfax Va officer. But SGs are great too, so don't understand your comment about SGs versus RKs;.

Thanks guys, he won't budge on the price at all. He knows he got a serious gem there. lol I was trying to low ball him to get it for $6,500 or so. Oh well.

At the price he is asking that would be unheard of here in the UK ...

I've an 04 myself. Replaced the cam chain tensioner shoes at ~40-45k. Replaced the cam bearings at the same time, since I was there.

Other than that and simply tweaking it, it's been a delightful and reliable bike. No regerts.

The comment "...owning a bike so old" made me laugh. You see, one of my bikes is a '99 Ultra with 48k miles. It will take me as far and reliably as any newer bike.

The RK looks like a nice bike--worth the money, provided it checks out mechanically.
