I plan to "black out" my 2016 streetglide this winter and thought it would be a good time to upgrade the front suspension. I currently have the factory lowering premium suspension but would like to go with something a little more compliant on rough roads. I do want to keep the lowered stance. Recommendations?
I was thinking either Ohlins or Legends for the front
Two options that I know of on the forks front from Ohlins: their FKC102 cartridges, which are not adjustable; their fully adjustable 30mm cartridges, said to be the bees knees!
You need tj316, a committed Ohlins man, with those 30mm cartridges and their top-shelf shocks as well. I'm a mere apprentice, with lesser Ohlins shocks and cartridges! This an older thread I came across on the subject of Ohlins.
I have read a little about the adjustable 30mm cartridges but was hoping to find someone that could provide first hand review of them.
Sent a PM to TJ316, or FNGonaRK, they have Howard's 30MM Ohlins cartridges. Motorcycle Metal does also offer a fully adjustable 25MM kit, which is a lot easier on the wallet. It is not on their website, you need to call Howard to get the facts. I have the 25MM kit and it is a game changer, IMO.

Howard at Motorcycle Metal has been building us Ohlins shocks since before Ohlins themselves started selling them for Harleys, was also first to adapt their 30mm and 25mm cartridges for us.
With these, there is reduced brake dive, and the front tire stays much more connected to the road, improving traction, and reducing that loose, wallowing feeling.
