Default Fuel Moto 2-1-2 headpipe question

Just received this steel, ceramic coated pipe for my 2015 FLHR and as I'm proceeding with the install, the instructions talk about using their flanges and snap rings. Nothing like that came in the box; just a set of gaskets. What am I missing? Was I supposed to order those separately? I don't see them as a separate item on the website.

Transfer them from your factory head pipe.

On 2nd thought, you're correct. The instructions mention their billet collars but it's referring to the flanged end of the pipe. In another spot, it does mention using the OEM flanges. Thanks.

Watch their video, a little more tricky than Jamie makes it look. Any questions their tech support is great.

I installed my 2/1/2 and a set of Street Cannons tonight, use their Gaskets and transfer the clips and flanges and Clamps if you bought new heat shields.

I changed from Chrome to Black with HD Heat Shields, a pic of my son take it for the maiden voyage :-)

Take your time installing them. When you remove the 2 sensors. Unplug them and remove the exhaust , once off the bike then remove the 02 sensors and install in the new pipe.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I was going to do the install tonight but I'm tired and that leads to mistakes. It will be a Sunday project instead.

They got you covered with the retainers and flanges. The retainers can be a B*%$^ if you don't have the proper pliers. The pipe goes on with a very specific motion or at least the two I did were like that. It was almost as if it didn't fit then you get it going in at the right angle and it drops right in.

Well I ran into some snags with the install today. Not actually a problem with the headpipe though. I'm changing the baffles in my Rush mufflers to a size smaller so that the sound will be about the same as with my stock header. I decided to pull the baffles with the mufflers still mounted since it's typically easier that way. One came out pretty easily but the other one did not want to cooperate. At one point the muffler was pulling off the inlet side so I took the muffler off and tried another way with a strap wrapped around a tree and a hook on the baffle puller bar. The baffle moved about 1/4 inch and then the welded bar in the baffle snapped. Not sure what to try next so I moved on to the header and got the stock one dismounted pretty easily.. Only challenge there was that one of the O2 sensors didn't want to budge but with a little patience it finally broke free. I'll pick up where I left off tomorrow and get the new header installed and then I'll have to figure out how to get that baffle out.
