Was going to trailer my bike down to Florida but decided instead drive the Bike down. Since I only have a 5" shield and keep getting buffeted on the highway I needed to replace shield. After reading various posts decided to call John at Freedom Shield. Told John the situation and also went over what size and tint I should buy. He expedited the order and I just got my UPS e-mail that shield will be delivered this Tuesday. Will now be able to leave as scheduled on Wednesday.
I know that everyone wants to make a sale but John was polite, easy to speak to and knows his business, highly recommend.
Just curious on the windshields that have the curve on top vs the Freedom windshield that is more straight, which does a better job at controlling the buffeting ?
when I finally order a new shield, it will be Clearview. Had a couple of them with different bikes. I am betting the curved shield with the slipstream vent on my 2016 Ultra will improve air flow and water flow over my head.
I never had a problem with Long Ride Shields. I know a lot of people complained that their customer service sucks, but Just saying, no Problem. Plus they have shields already made on the shelves to order, so you don't have to wait for a wind shield to be made. Or you can go with a Klock Werks or any other brand. I had 2 Klock Werks and 2 Long Ride Shields, both are great
I placed my order with them on September 24 and I still have yet to receive a notice that it's shipped. I'm not bashing LRS since I haven't had any experience with their products yet, but I just want to say that this doesn't always seem to be the case.
