Default Road king or Road glide

First sad to say my 2000 Electra Glide Classic has been totaled out due to a bad driver but I came out of it ok just soar.
. This brings me to a new ride. I have found 2010 Road Glide custom 20000 miles perfect condition. $9500 . Then there's the 2008 Road King with lots of chrome about 13000 miles. $8500 Both well taken care of. Most of my riding will be local but a out of town trip now and then. I love the old school look of the king but the glide is very nice too. Give me your thoughts Im not veteran biker so I would appreciate your thoughts

If I could find a Rushmore model and there’s a lot of low mileage bikes to be had that were garage queens , that would be the direction for a start

I have both and my Road Glide gets ridden most of the time. The Road King is still a blast to ride but and love it when I do but owning both I know which one I would buy if I could only have one.

And there is an old saying. Chrome don't get you home. IOW, don't let it bedazzle you.

Between the 2 bikes you listed I would buy the ‘10 RG. You get the new frame, ‘09+, and possibly ABS.
Good Luck

2009 and newer no matter which bike.
RG sounds like more value to me, 20,000 miles is nothing on a bike and honestly, on an older bike I might be happier that it was rode for a couple thousand miles a year vs sitting.

One other option is a 2014 Rushmore that you may be able to pick up for a very few more dollars if you look around on ebay and cycle trader, maybe craigslist too. Just have the VIN checked.
AS the post above me - ABS is nice to have for sure.

My opinion, if you aren't goin to tour, get the Road King. Its lighter up front and easier to ride. Classic looks that never die. I rarely put the windshield on my Road King and love to cruise on it that way.

If you ARE going to tour, get the Road Glide. Outside of the classic Road King look, the Glide is the best looking touring bagger going.
