2001 Road King Classic FLHRCI. Let off throttle to get off highway. Started cutting in and out not wanting to run without throttle being wide open. On the highway on the way back home starting cutting in and out. Not wanting to run and the check engine light came on. What's wrong with it? This has never happened.

I didn't read all the posts in the original thread. His issue was starting. Sounds like yours is running.
If check engine light came on, you need to check the code. That should alwasy be the first thing you can do. You can go through the dash. Google pulling codes 2001 Harley. Will involve turning bike on and off in a certain order.
