I have a 2008 ultra classic. I found the weld at the lower motor mount bracket to frame broken and pulled away from frame tube. the weld is torn from the frame tube. I can see inside the frame tube. Is this a safe repair or does it need the frame replaced?
A number of years ago the same thing happened to someone else on here. He just had it re-welded. Was fine.
Also saw a pretty crappy weld in the same spot direct from the factory once. Since it was new, the OP had the entire frame replaced under warranty. I know that doesn't help you, but was mentioned to point out it's a potential problem area.
DO have a professional welder look at it and get his/her recommendation.

Fixed properly by a competent welder and you'll be ok. Do a little csi and maybe find the cause of it breaking the first place. Don't do anything to it until the guy welding can look at it because that will tell alot of the story...if he or she knows what they're looking at. Don't let your drunk neighbor with the harbor freight welder do it for you lol.
The one I'm thinking of wasn't - I think. I believe it was actually a 2008 Ultra or SG. I kinda forget that part. I just remember the owner being pissed. It was years ago.
If the break has separated enough you have a gap and can see into it you got stress issues going on with the frame. It can be repaired but I'd be looking the frame over for other problems or to see if it's taken an impact to the bottom somewhere.

welderup dude!!! anyone with a good knowledge of welding can make that fix. clean it well and weld it good. the weld will outlast the bike. I've done it for friends with the same issue. every year or so, they recheck the weld and its good as gold.
