Trying to decide between the 8 and the 9 1/2". I really want to see over the shield but I do not want the wife crying about her helment catching wind. My question is does anyone have one and what size did you get. I am about 6 1 and look through the stock 12" shield,.
If you get the Clearview windshield with the curved top, you'll be adding about 2 more inches of buffer above your head than stock. If you go with the 9.5 inches, you'll be looking above it, not through it.

I've got both, the 8" and the 9.5". Both are recurve. I'm 6' with long legs and average length torso. Therefore, I ride far back on the seat away from the pocket just behind the windshield. Also have lower fairing deflectors. I had buffeting at the very top of my head with 8. Switched to 9.5 and have nobuffeting, butif I slump too much top of windshield is now in my sight line. I just can't win. I don't wear a helment and ride an '07 streetglide.
I installed the 8" and wife says she can't tell the difference, I think the airstream is still on its way up as it skims the top of my helmet and goes wayover her helmet,I'm 6'1". I like the airskim on the helmet because I have the Shoie helmet with the air vents that open/close and it catches this air and really feels good inside the helmet. No head buffeting what so ever. Everytime I've taken off the lower fairing deflectors I get a lot of updraft buffeting with any fairing, always leave them on.
I've got the 9. It takes care of the buffeting (90%). Works for both my Wife and I. I'm 6' with a long torso. My eyeline is about 2" above the top of the shield.
