For those of us convinced that this is the right decision what speaks to the choice between the OEM 34T gearing vs the 32T (Twin Power) and the 30T (Evo Industries) units.
Each of these aftermarket units reduces the gearing by ~6% respectively.

Since the OP stayed with factory gearing, this won't apply to him. Anything that changes the factory loaded rpm vs transmission output shaft ratios has the potential of disabling the 6th gear light (there is no switch, the light is activated by the ECM when engine rpm and speed (transmission output shaft rpm) are at a pre-loaded ratio. For some reason unknown to me, the cruise won't work if the 6th gear light won't work. Don't know why Harley thought that was important. I have stock gearing and can engage the cruise above the minimum speed in whatever gear is appropriate, rpm vs speed seems to be loaded for each gear.

I believe BrianG is correct, a tuner that can get into the programming can put things right again, however, that is just one more chapter in the big story that MORE MONEY can fix about anything.
I have several friends who have used the Drag parts. Both did it 3 or 4 years ago without any problems. Each rides 12-15,000 miles per year.
