Default Front brake pressure high

Ok I might be overly concerned here. I changed my handlebars out on my road King. After adjusting levers and tighting down I noticed my front brake was hard to push in. Will this go away if I just keep it sat and not mess with it? I know simple question but first Harley and I just don't want brakes locking up on me. Do I need to do something to release some pressure? Front brake was perfect before changing bars. Like I said probably overly concerned. Thanks for any information!!!!!

Something is definately wrong. The effort it takes to engage the brakes should not have changed.

I don't know if I maybe need to change brake line? I mean normally if you pump the front brake pressure builds up (if it isn't running) right. That's what it feels like. It just feels like I pumped the front break 5 times. I went from beach bars to 11" mini apes. Factory clutch cable was long enough and I think the break line is long enough. Not much slack though. It's winter here so have plenty of time to get it fixed just didn't know if it would loosen back up some while sitting or maybe if I rode it around the block to release the pressure. Thanks for any information you could give

I assume that you didn't install longer brake lines, yes? Are the new bars taller? Follow the brake line from the master cylinder to the frame and ensure the line isn't kinked somewhere. A restriction in the fluid line would cause your symptom. Also if the bracket got somehow pinched in the process at the lever pivot, it could cause increased lever effort too.

Ok thanks. It's just messing with me lol. It rolls around just fine when I move it and I can push in front brake and it stops rolling. I'm just not real good with brakes and mechanical issues lol.

maybe time to seek professional input. They are after all your brakes and do serve an important function.like keeping you from dying..... You may want them in proper working order!
