Has anyone ever had a hard time selling stock painted parts? I have a 15 sgs in deep jade pearl and plan to swap out front fender, rear fender, bags, and side covers.
question i have is:
how hard is it going to be to sell these parts to help recoop money invested? Will it be hard cause it's not vivid black? Lol. Or will it not be hard to sell because it's a rare color? I'm dont wa anna give them away per say, but I dont want them sitting on the shelf either. All parts are in excellent condition too.
personally, i love the jade green. a lot of what is going to limit your sale is shipping. it isn't going to be cheap to ship those. but honestly, you won't know until you try.
Many sets for sale on the Bay to do a price check, but as stated shipping will be a bear. I would try my local Craigs to see if I could get a sale to someone that can come pick them up. Other wise be prepared for over $200 in shipping, have that noted in the Bay ad. Good luck, nice color, I think it would sell.

If your list is correct with NO Tank or Fairing included, that can change the selling/buying philosophy
Or will it not be hard to sell because it's a rare color?
Many things are rare because no one wanted them ... Green is never higher than third on lists of most popular colors...and I suspect lower than that in the Harley world...
That being said...it all depends on who is looking when you put them up for sale...and all things Harley aren't selling for much these days...unless you are talking antique...
Are you going to keep the tank and fairing green and change the color of the rest of the bike? It's really none of my business but where are you going with this bikes paint scheme? As mentioned, why not repaint what you have have to what you want? I have a charcoal pearl 14 SGS that I'm thinking of painting. Curious if you find swapping out the tins is actually the cheaper route.
