I really like the look of the pack and single set up. Nice
Agree , they do look nice . What made up my mind was I was on a road trip and ran into a guy that had his RK set up like that . He was leaving the gas station just as we were arriving . I would have loved to have had a conversation with him about it , If only we had been a couple of minutes sooner . I'm going to look forward to the extra room for tools and leathers ect . I just have to decide whether to go with a full size or razor type trunk . I do like the look of the razor ..
Question : I just completed putting a set of hogwerkz hardware on my used saddlebags and was wondering what will happen when I pick up a new/used trunk . Can I order a lock that will work with what I have already or do I have to order all new locks so one key works for all ?

keep your heavy stuff down low in your saddlebags and the lighter stuff up higher in the tour pack. also stuff that you want quick access to.

with the pre-rushmore, you have a 3rd option. the chopped tour pack. that is what i have. figure between 4 saddlebags and 2 chopped tour packs, if it doesn't fit, we don't need it
going from memory here, but the razor pack is 3'' deep, while the chopped is 6'' deep and the king is 9'' deep (this is all without the lid included)

when you order the lock kit for the tour pack, you order it with the 3 digit number that is under the plastic sleeve on your existing key. and it will come with 2 keys, so you'll end up with a bunch of keys that will all work with your bike.
Excellent information here Skratch !! I really appreciate all your knowledge ..... After I get this whole Christmas thing out of the way , I'll be ordering everything I need .... I will look at the chopped version .... the 3" razor just won't be enough room , especially if the wife comes along . Our last trip we used a Knapsack tied to the backrest . What a PITA .
